Make your own Golden Hour Glow Smoothie at home. This Erewhon copycat recipe tastes amazing, is full of goodness, and costs a fraction of $22.

I love this Erewhon Golden Hour Glow Smoothie because it’s refreshing, energising, and has that tropical creaminess you want in a luxury smoothie. Erewhon is famous for creating extravagant smoothies with long ingredient lists, and the Golden Hour Glow by @jastookes is no exception — with saffron, coconut kefir, and even “gold dust.” At $22 USD (~$33 AUD), it’s definitely a splurge, but that’s why making a copycat version at home is such a win.
This homemade smoothie keeps the essence of the original while simplifying it into a recipe you can blend in minutes. It’s filled with wholefood ingredients like mango, pineapple, dates, and ginger, making it naturally sweet and full of antioxidants. The addition of turmeric and cardamom adds warmth and anti-inflammatory benefits, while coconut milk and almond butter make it creamy and satisfying.
I also love that it’s adaptable. You can enjoy it as a post-workout boost, a breakfast smoothie, or even a healthy afternoon snack. Plus, it looks so pretty in the glass with a drizzle of whipped coconut cream and a swirl of golden almond butter.

Erewhon Golden Hour Glow Smoothie Ingredients

How to Make It
Making this smoothie couldn’t be easier. Simply blend all the ingredients (except the coconut cream and a couple of tablespoons of the mixture) until smooth. Mix those set-aside spoonfuls with a touch more almond butter and turmeric. Whip the coconut cream, then drizzle the inside of your cup with the cream and almond butter mix before pouring in the smoothie. It’s quick, fun, and looks like something straight out of Erewhon.

Variations and Substitutes
You can swap almond butter for cashew or peanut butter, depending on what you have. For a nut-free version, use tahini or sunflower seed butter. If you don’t have mango or pineapple, use peaches, papaya, or any tropical fruit. You can also add protein powder or chia seeds if you want an even bigger nutritional boost.
Equipment
All you need is a good blender to create a smooth, creamy texture. A high-speed blender makes the mixture extra silky, but even a standard blender will do the job. A hand whisk or electric mixer is useful for whipping the coconut cream to get those perfect drizzles in the cup.

How to Serve It
Serve in a tall glass with coconut cream swirled around the sides for that café-style look. Top with a sprinkle of turmeric or cinnamon for garnish. It’s perfect as a breakfast smoothie, a nourishing snack, or even a healthy dessert alternative.
How to Store It
This smoothie is best enjoyed fresh to preserve the vibrant flavour and nutrients. However, you can store leftovers in the fridge in a sealed jar for up to 24 hours. Freezing isn’t recommended as it changes the texture, but you can freeze the fruit ahead of time for a colder, thicker blend. You could also prepare all the ingredients before hand in a freezer bag and have it prepped and ready to go for the week if you pressed for time in the morning.
